Albany Police make arrest in South Pearl Street stabbing
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- An Albany man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing that happened on South Pearl Street on Thursday. According to the Albany Police Department, Johnathan Bonaparte, 33, faces multiple charges.
Police said Bonaparte and the victim were in a dispute when he allegedly stabbed the victim in the neck with a knife. Officers responded around 4:30 p.m. and found the 40-year-old woman at the scene.

- Second-degree attempted murder
- First-degree attempted assault
- Second-degree assault
- Third-degree criminal possession of a weapon
The victim is at Albany Medical Center Hospital in stable condition. Police reported that Bonaparte had fled the scene but was taken into custody after being found near Green Street and Bassett Street.
Bonaparte was arraigned in Albany City Criminal Court Friday morning and placed in Albany County Jail.
