Man killed after being hit by MAX train in North Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- A man was killed after being hit by a MAX train in North Portland Friday morning, police said.
At around 6:30 a.m., officers responded to the 5500 block of North Interstate Avenue on reports of a crash involving a pedestrian and a MAX train.
On arrival, they said they found the pedestrian dead at the scene.
For the duration of the investigation, officials say MAX Orange and Yellow lines service will be disrupted.
As a result, shuttle buses will serve all stops between North Prescott Street and the North Lombard Transit Center.
