Govt recommends relatives of vulnerable people get Covid-19 vaccine
The health ministry on Friday said it recommends that the relatives of vulnerable people get vaccinated against both Covid-19 and influenza ahead of the coming winter.
It said that relatives of those who live in nursing homes and other assisted living facilities should get the vaccines, and that those living in such facilities will be vaccinated by the nurses who work there.
Additionally, it said, vaccines will be administered to bedridden patients who are visited by community nurses and served by the state health services organisation (Okypy), and that those who wish to be vaccinated at home can either apply themselves or have a relative apply on their behalf.
