Where Does Shohei Ohtani Rank Among All-Time Greats After World Series?
Shohei Ohtani has been one of the most exciting players of the past decade, and he earned his first World Series title.
The Los Angeles Dodgers closed out the New York Yankees in five games Wednesday. Ohtani went 2-for-19 at the plate in the Fall Classic, but he’s still expected to win the National League MVP after achieving the first 50-50 season ever.
Laura Stickells and Danielle Stein recapped the World Series on NESN’s “Boston Has Entered The Chat,” and they agreed it was hard to deny Ohtani’s GOAT status.
“I think it’s inevitable he’s going to go down as one of the greatest players to ever play the game,” Stein told Stickells.
Stein pointed out how Ohtani did not pitch this year due to an elbow injury. It’s a scary thought for the rest of the league to know that the 30-year-old could top what he did this season. It’s arguable whether or not Ohtani needed a World Series for his legacy, but after achieving the feat this season, he’ll be aiming for more down the line.
