Pakistan police have announced that an explosion in Balochistan province has killed seven people, including five students.
Pakistan’s Dawn newspaper reported that the explosion occurred around 8:30 a.m. on Friday, November 1, near a girls’ school in the Mastung area of Balochistan.
Balochistan police officials stated that the explosion resulted in the deaths of seven people, including five students and one security officer from the province.
According to police, 17 others, most of whom are students, were injured in this incident.
Reports indicate that the target of the explosion was a police patrol vehicle in the area.
The type of explosion has not yet been identified.
In a statement, Pakistan’s Prime Minister condemned the incident, calling it a “terrorist attack.”
