Cool down has begun; Strong wind gusts diminish by late
STRONG WIND GUSTS into the 40-mph range this morning, very gradually diminish into the 30-mph range getting into the afternoon, and 20-mph range by late afternoon. Multiple power outages have resulted from gusts to around 50 mph early this morning
It turns significantly cooler heading for the weekend. Expect considerable clouds and a few isolated sprinkles especially this afternoon mainly to the south of Buffalo. They could last into the evening. They will be more likely to the south of Buffalo across the hills.
Drier air eventually wins out with lingering clouds to begin Saturday, but more sun will mix in during the afternoon. After a very sunny Sunday morning, thin clouds build in during the afternoon.
At this early point, Election Day looks excellent, dry, a bit breezy, but warm again with a high temperature up around 70.
