I’m 46 & wear skintight leggings & crop tops with no bra – I was dress-coded at the airport but refuse to change
A 46-year-old woman who loves wearing crop tops with no bras to be comfy on a plane has hit back at ‘snooty’ flight attendants.
Victoria Unikel frequently travels with her husband Gene Avakyan for business and revealed her airport outfits have got her into trouble with staff for being ‘too revealing’ and says she often get’s ‘filthy looks’.

The 46-year-old says she usually wears ‘skin tight leggings’ and ‘cropped strappy tops’ without a bra to the airport and ‘drenches’ herself in perfume mid-flight to feel ‘sexy’.
Despite claiming ‘rude’ passengers criticise her perfume usage and that airline staff dress-coded her telling her to cover up, Victoria defends her clothing choices as they are not ‘inappropriate’.
Victoria, who lives in Miami, Florida, US, said: “I always get filthy looks from snooty flight attendants and passengers when I travel.
“I want to look sexy but also be comfortable whenever I travel whether I’m flying for business or pleasure. We always fly business class.
“I plan what I’m going to wear to the airport weeks in advance. I usually wear designer gym clothes. Either skin tight leggings or shorts to make my bum look good.
“They don’t leave much to the imagination. They definitely give me a camel toe.
“I wear a cropped strappy top that’s usually quite low cut. I never travel in a bra.
“I think people have a problem with that. My tops can be quite see through. But I don’t really see the issue. When you’re on an eight hour flight, who wants to wear a bra?
“I don’t understand why women should be forced to feel uncomfortable just to make sure their nipples aren’t on show. We’re in 2024. I should be able to show off my boobs.
“Recently, a flight attendant suggested I might want to cover up a bit – she tried to suggest I might be cold but I know it was because my clothes were quite revealing.
“I had a jacket in my hand luggage but I didn’t think what I was wearing was inappropriate. It didn’t affect anyone else. So I wasn’t going to give in.
“Eventually the flight attendant realised I wasn’t going to change and told me to take a seat. I think they’re way too strict.”
I’ll usually top-up on perfume every hour however long my flight is. It seems to annoy the people sitting next to me.

The former model who only ever flies business class admits she never travels without perfume in her hand luggage and applies it regularly despite complaints from passengers.
Is there an official dress code for flights?
WHILE there are no official airline rules on what you can and can't wear on board, there are some unspoken guidelines, as passengers have been kicked off a flight for their choice of clothing.
If you can, avoid dirty or torn clothes, anything with slogans that may be deemed offensive or contain any rude language
Some airlines do allow flip-flops, but others may not accept you on board if you’re wearing beach attire or something too revealing.
It’s also important to check whether your destination has specific laws or local customs around clothing, as the airline may expect passengers to adhere to these before boarding.
For example, Qatar Airways have a dress code as the mid-point is a conservative Muslim country.
If passengers visit Doha as a stopover, they must observe the strict dress codes which include no sleeveless shirts, and pants must be no higher than your knees.
It’s a good idea to opt for clothes which are comfortable such as jeans and a nice top.
Bring layers – flights can get chilly and if you do experience a member of the cabin crew asking you to cover up, you’re already prepared.
Overall, think smart casual.
Victoria said: “I always bring perfume in my hand luggage. I wouldn’t be caught dead without it.
“If I’m going to sit in a cramped, sweaty plane for hours, I don’t want to stink. I drench myself in it. I’m terrified of BO.
“I’ll usually top-up on perfume every hour however long my flight is. It seems to annoy the people sitting next to me.
“They normally throw me dirty looks and I’ve even had passengers complain to the flight attendants about me because it’s so strong.
“I had one woman tell me to stop because she kept sneezing, so I did. But other people are just so rude.
“They clearly don’t have good taste. I don’t get what’s wrong with wanting to smell good.
“I have to be so careful going through security that I’m not over the limit.
“Once I forgot and security threw away my favourite Givenchy perfume that Gene bought me. That was over £400 instantly down the drain.”
We have joined the mile high club. Just one time. The flight attendant saw us both leaving the bathroom and wasn’t impressed.

Victoria and Gene, who have been married for four years, first met seven years ago.
The 46-year-old admitted she enjoys feeling ‘sexy’ for her husband when travelling and that the pair are even members of the mile high club.
Victoria said: “My husband definitely doesn’t complain about what I wear.
“I like to feel sexy when I’m around my husband. I want to look and smell good for him.
“Just because we’ve been together for seven years it doesn’t mean I’m going to stop putting in effort, even on a plane.
“He never forgets to tell me how amazing I look. It makes the travel experience more fun.
“He doesn’t care that people throw me dirty looks. He’s always so proud to have me on his arm. He’ll stick up for me too if people are being rude.
“We have joined the mile high club. Just one time. The flight attendant saw us both leaving the bathroom and wasn’t impressed. I was mortified. I’d never do it again.”
