Body cam shows moment Zachery Bryan was arrested for DUI
CUSTER COUNTY, Okla. (KFOR) — We are now seeing the arrest of an actor who rose to fame on the hit 90's sitcom "Home Improvement."
Zachery Bryan is accused of driving under the influence following a traffic stop in western Oklahoma.
It was last Friday, October 25, when an Oklahoma Highway Patrol Lieutenant found a vehicle on the side of the road in Custer County.
According to the affidavit, it was during the early hours of October 25, when Bryan was found sleeping in the back of his car in Custer County in western Oklahoma.
The trooper talked to Bryan briefly before leaving and parking down the road.
A short time later Bryan drives away. The trooper follows and catches up with Bryan before pulling him over.
Bryan told the trooper that he was intoxicated and according to the affidavit, the trooper could smell it as well.
He later walks Bryan to his patrol car and began asking questions.
Bryan admitted he had too much to drink the night before and shouldn't have been driving, which is why he pulled off the road to "sleep it off."
The trooper asked Bryan if he felt that he should be driving now after sleeping in his car, Bryan replied no.
He then conducted a sobriety test on Bryan, even asking him on a scale of zero to 10 how drunk he was. Bryan replying "probably still like a five or six."
He was later arrested and taken to Custer County Jail.
This was Bryan's second DUI of this year, with the other happening in LaQuinta, California in February. He was also charged with driving without a valid license.
Bryan was released from jail after posting a $65,000 bail.
