'Avengers' cast assembles to endorse Harris
The cast of "Avengers" assembled in a clip posted to the social platform X to endorse the Harris-Walz ticket for the 2024 presidential election.
"We're back. Let's #AssembleForDemocracy. In the #ElectionEndgame, every vote counts #VoteBlue! Vote @KamalaHarris @Tim_Walz," actor Mark Ruffalo wrote in the post.
"Don’t sit this one out. It’s the one where we will lose big: Project 2025, women’s reproductive rights, climate change, LGBTQIA+ rights, public education, student debt relief, Affordable Care Act, Social Security, and as of today, life saving vaccines. This s--- is real and it’s going to come for you," Ruffalo wrote in a reply to the original post.
"Take 3 friends and know, no matter what you are a hero. Always give it all," he added.
The clip in the original post features actors Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Robert Downey Jr., Don Cheadle, Paul Bettany, Danai Gurira and Chris Evans.
"It is our pleasure to come together and to get the vote out this election," Gurira said in the video.
The group also debated a catchphrase for Vice President Harris before landing on Harris being "down with democracy."
