COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) - From the Columbus Blue Jackets to singer Cyndi Lauper performing at the Schottenstein Center for her farewell tour, here are things to see and do this weekend in central Ohio.
Blue Jackets vs. Jets
Nationwide Arena, Nov. 1 at 7 p.m.
- The Columbus Blue Jackets take on the Winnipeg Jets. The Blue Jackets will host First Responders Night with several activities, fundraisers and more.
Steve Martin and Martin Short
Mershon Auditorium, Nov. 1 at 8 p.m.
- Comedians Steve Martin and Martin Short's "The Dukes of Funnytown" show is making a stop in Columbus. The tour will also be joined by special guests Steep Canyon Rangers and Jeff Banko. Doors open at 7 p.m.
10th Annual 24-Hour Board Game Marathon
Olentangy River Brewing Company, Nov. 2 from 11 a.m. through Nov. 3 at 10 a.m.
- The 24 Hour Board Game Marathon features hundreds of tabletop board games, a silent auction, food trucks and more. The Beers and Board Games Club of Columbus hosts the event to benefit Nationwide Children's Hospital.
STEAM Coalition Brunch
GENESIS Downtown, Nov. 2 from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- The first ever brunch fundraising event will feature fun, hands on STEAM activities along with a menu of catered food and live entertainment. The event is for those 21 years and older.
Dia de los Muertos Community Day
Columbus Museum of Art, Nov. 3 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
- Enjoy a day filled with activities and learn about the rich history of Día de los Muertos including a participatory community ofrenda, performances and experiences, art-making, tasty bites and more. Admission to CMA Community Days is free.
Greater Columbus STEM and Arts Expo
Polaris Fashion Place, Nov. 3 from noon to 6 p.m.
- The 10th annual expo will have several STEM and art resources available through fun activities and competitions throughout the day. This includes LEGO competition, new marble run maze competition, spelling bee, math challenge, carnival game competitions and much more.
Delaware Community Veterans Parade
Downtown Delaware, Nov. 3 at 3 p.m.
- The parade is honoring Veterans with the theme to recognize those who served with Operation Enduring Freedom and Iraq along with WWII Veterans to honor the 80th battle of the bulge. The parade is open to all Veterans and Veteran support groups. Rain or shine, the parade invites patrons to come and cheer on our heroes.
Cyndi Lauper: Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour
Schottenstein Center, Nov. 3 at 8 p.m.
- The pop singer will be performing in Columbus for the singer's farewell tour. Lauper will be joined by singer and musician Elle King.
