Suspect in Crowley Walmart shooting turns self in, charged with murder

CROWLEY, La. (KLFY) -- The victim of a shooting at a Walmart in Crowley has died, and a suspect in the shooting has turned himself in, authorities said.
Devon Ceasar, 20, of Crowley, surrendered to authorities Wednesday and is charged with first degree murder in connection with the Oct. 17 shooting.
Officials identified the victim as Alex Toups. Toups died in a Lafayette hospital on Oct. 24. A GoFundMe fundraiser has been set up to help his girlfriend, Sylvia Gautreaux, and their two sons.
Ceasar is being held without bond in the Acadia Parish Jail, officials said.
