Teenage girl ‘raped in park’ as cops seal off scene and launch urgent hunt for ‘attacker’
A TEENAGE girl has allegedly been raped in a park – with cops sealing off the scene and launching an urgent hunt for her attacker.
The girl was attacked in Quarredon Leas Park in the Buckinghamshire town of Aylesbury between 5.45pm and 6.30pm on Tuesday.
Cops have launched a probe into the alleged rape and specialist officers are supporting the girl.
A police cordon remains in place around the park two days on from the alleged attack.
No details have been released about the suspect, who reportedly fled the scene.
Detective Inspector Kirsty Bishop said: “I appreciate incidents such as this will cause concern in the local community.
“However, we are making fast-time enquiries and our investigation is progressing.
“The victim is being supported at this time, and a scene-watch is currently still in place.
“I would urge anybody who believes that they witnessed this incident or has any information that may assist the investigation to please call us.”
