Tainan to host WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup 2025 from July 25 to August 3
The dates of the WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup 2025 presented by RAXUS have been confirmed with Tainan (TPE) hosting the tournament from July 25 to August 3 at the Asia Pacific International Baseball Stadium, the only U-12 purpose-built venue worldwide.
The WBSC is also pleased to announce RAXUS as the presenting sponsor for the tournament.
The WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup has called the Asia Pacific International Baseball Stadium home since the venue was inaugurated in 2019. Tainan also hosted the U-12 Baseball World Cup 2017 and has earned hosting rights for the 2027 edition. Taipei was the host city of the 2011 and 2013 editions.
The qualifying process for the WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup 2025 presented by RAXUS started with the U-12 European Championship in July. The winners, World No. 17 Germany, and the second-place finishers, World No. 7 Netherlands, will represent Europe in the VIII WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup.
The WBSC Americas Qualifying Tournament qualified No. 5 USA, No.9 Cuba, No. 10 Panama and No. 12 Dominican Republic.
Eight National Teams will participate in the XI BFA U-12 Asia Championship from November 23 to 29 in Matsuyama and Imabari, Japan. The three teams stepping on the podium will advance to next year's World Cup.
WBSC Africa and WBSC Oceania will both qualify one team. The WBSC Executive Board will award a Wild Card to the 12th participant.
World No. 5 United States are the defending U-12 Baseball World Champions. They have won five of the seven editions. No. 2 (tied with Mexico) Chinese Taipei is the only other winner. They also claimed four silver and a bronze medal.
Four more countries have medalled in the WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup. No. 4 Venezuela has one silver and two bronze medals. No. 9 Cuba and No. 1 Japan earned one silver and one bronze. No. 16 Nicaragua and No. 2 Mexico claimed one bronze medal.
