Go & Show includes The Early Show return, National Bison Day & Lake Michigan Fisheries Workshop
The return of The Early Show on Sunday leads Go & Show this week, but there's also National Bison Day events and a Lake Michigan Fisheries workshop.
The Early Show , the Chicago area's only fly-fishing and -tying show returns after years of absence, to its usual place at Mayslake Peabody Estate in Oak Brook, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3. As usual, it is presented by the Illinois Smallmouth Alliance and the DuPage Rivers Fly Tyers.
There will be dozens of tyers, certified casting instructors with free lessons, spey casting demonstrations, area shops, guides and company reps. Guest speakers include Jason Randall, Bill Sherer, P.J. Smith and Mike Allen. There's Dennis Potter Vise Logic Tying Theater Instruction techniques. I'm always fascinated by the bamboo rod building demo by the Illinois Bamboo Rod Builders.
