Beach Pro Tour continues: November showdowns and tips for betting on beach volleyball
The third season of the Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour is on a break following the just completed stop over João Pessoa in Brazil. Its next venue is in the capital city of Rio de Janeiro. This will be an Elite16 event, the last one of the season, and will run from 6th – 10th November 2024.
Also in November, we will be moving into the Asian leg of the tour. The first stop will be in Haikou, China from 13th to 17th November before moving to Chennai, India, from 21st – 24th November – both of which are Challenge events. A final Challenge stop will take place in Nuvali, Philippines, from 28th November and will conclude on 1st December. This is the penultimate event on the calendar before the finals in early December in Doha.
How to bet on the Beach Pro Tour when it resumes in November
Beach volleyball is much more niche than regular volleyball, and not all bookmakers cover this sport. Fortunately, well-known betting sites like Stake.com will allow you to bet on the sport, so you don’t have to worry. At Sportytrader, you can get a bet boost using a code that unlocks an exclusive bonus on Stake sportsbook.
Here are some popular betting markets for volleyball:
- The outcome – betting on the team to win
- Final score – betting on the final scoreline
- Set wins – betting on the winner of each round
- Head start on points – betting on which team takes the point lead early
- Total bets – betting on the total points scored in the match
Some beach volleyball rules to know before you bet
The main thing to know before betting on beach volleyball is that these games use the best two-out-of-three format. So there can be no draw, and the only possible outcomes are 2-0, 2-1, 0-2, or 1-2 (these are the options for the final score bet).
A match doesn’t necessarily need to go all three sets. If a team wins the first two sets, they automatically win the match, and no third round is played.
The first two sets are played up to 21 points. The third set is played to 15 points. For a team to win any set, they must be at least two points ahead of the opponent. Otherwise, the round will be allowed to extend beyond the given point limit until there’s a 2-point difference.
All matches of the VolleyBall World Beach Pro Tour can be streamed on VBTV. This is great if you want to engage in live betting. Previous matches can also be streamed on the channel. After the events scheduled for November, the globe-trotting circuit will finally come to an end in Doha, Qatar, where it all started.
