Why a £1 buy could be the secret you’re after for blasting ‘stubborn’ stomach fat – Victoria Beckham swears by it
IF you’ve tried every diet and exercise under the sun to flatten your stomach to no avail, this hack may be for you.
A simple ingredient is said to tackle your “stubborn” belly fat if taken every day.
In a viral TikTok video, a health guru (@healthguru25) explained the daily tip to viewers.
She revealed that drinking a small amount of vinegar every day can help to flatten your stomach.
According to the health pro, any vinegar will do and it doesn’t need to be expensive or organic.
She demonstrated by mixing a tablespoon of vinegar into a glass of water and drinking it.
The woman described the it as a “magical ingredient” that has been “used for millennia” to tackle a variety of health issues.
While she pointed out that it is not a one-stop fix, she said it does create an “impact on visceral fats, on cholesterol levels, on glucose and insulin levels.”
Speaking in relation to visceral fats, she described them as the build-up that forms “between your organs.”
The TikToker said this type of “really bad” fat can be identified as a “big hard belly” rather than rolls which you can pinch.
Victoria Beckham is among those who use the hack to maintain a slim belly.
The fashion designer reportedly takes three tablespoons of apple cider vinegar every day before working out, reports RSVP.
She mixes the ingredient with lemon water and drinks an entire glass to begin her day.
You can pick up a bottle of apple cider vinegar for just £1.28 from Asda.
The ingredient helps to keep harmful bacteria away from your gut and can reduce your calorie intake.
Apple cider vinegar is also a great way to reduce muscle cramps during a workout.
The ingredient can help to increase energy levels and break down fat calories.
How to lose weight safely
Losing weight should be a long-term commitment to healthier living, rather than any drastic measures.
The NHS tips – which can be adopted slowly – include:
- Get active for 150 minutes a week – you can break this up into shorter sessions
- Aim to get your 5 A Day – 80g of fresh, canned or frozen fruit or vegetables count as 1 portion
- Aim to lose 1 to 2lbs, or 0.5 to 1kg, a week
- Read food labels – products with more green colour coding than amber and red are often a healthier option
- Swap sugary drinks for water – if you do not like the taste, add slices of lemon or lime for flavour
- Cut down on food that’s high in sugar and fat – start by swapping sugary cereal for wholegrain alternatives
- Share your weight loss plan with someone you trust – they can help motivate you when you have a bad day

According to the TikTok health guru, the ingredient can also be used in the diets of diabetics.
She explained that it can help keep anyone unwilling to follow a stricter diet in good health.
The TikToker recommended drinking the ingredient before eating anything carb-heavy.
Despite the stellar recommendations of the health guru and celebrities such as Victoria Beckham, the jury is still out on the effectiveness of vinegar in weight loss.
According to the Mayo Clinic, there is “little science” to support these claims.
