Jennifer Aniston says she voted for Harris-Walz in Instagram post
Actress Jennifer Aniston said she voted for Vice President Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D), in a post on Instagram on Tuesday.
“Today not only did I vote for access to health care, for reproductive freedom, for equal rights, for safe schools, and for a fair economy, but also for SANITY and HUMAN DECENCY,” she wrote in the post.
Aniston posted a photo donning an "I voted" sticker. She told her followers that their votes matter, but she stopped short of explicitly telling them how to vote.
“I know we don’t agree on everything, and that is the beauty of this country, but GOOD LORD aren’t you tired of this negativity towards each other? The intimidation and constant threats to those who do not think the same as the other?” she wrote.
“Let’s please end this era of fear, chaos and the attacks on our democracy - and vote for someone who will unite us and not continue to threaten to divide us,” she continued. “I very proudly voted for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz.”
Aniston expressed gratitude for American democracy and encouraged her fans to talk to their loved ones about participating in the process just one week before the election.
“We are so lucky we get to VOTE and this election is in our hands! We only have one week until Election Day so talk to your friends, your family, your neighbors and let’s find our way back to each other with respect, common cause, and LOVE,” she wrote, adding a blue heart emoticon.
Harris has found support throughout her campaign from several A-list celebrities, including most notably from Beyonce and Taylor Swift.
Aniston’s post comes just one week ahead of election day, as many voters around the country cast their ballots early or vote absentee.
The race remains neck and neck, with Harris up 0.6 percentage points over Trump, 48.3 percent to 47.7 percent, according to the national polling average from The Hill/Decision Desk HQ.
