Jim Gavin's zero tolerance on underage GAA referee dissent with new rule plan
Jim Gavin’s Football Review Committee are proposing a 10 minute sin bin for underage players in a bid to curb dissent towards referees and alter the culture of the GAA. The team in question would be allowed to replace the player, who would be sent to “cool off.” On top of this a new measure is being proposed at adult level, which would allow referees to move the ball forward to the top of the new 40 metre scoring arc for any dissent against them.
