Bills WR Amari Cooper day to day with wrist injury
ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) — Amari Cooper participated in individual drills open to media viewing Wednesday after Bills coach Sean McDermott said the wide receiver would not practice after injuring his wrist in Sunday's win at Seattle.
Cooper wore a wrap on his left wrist while catching passes. His status for this Sunday's home game against the Dolphins is day to day, McDermott said.
The 30-year-old Cooper had a strong debut in his first game with the Bills after being acquired in a trade from the Browns, but against the Seahawks quarterback Josh Allen was intercepted for the first time this season on the only pass thrown Cooper's way, and Cooper did not play much after halftime.
Middle linebacker Terrel Bernard (ankle) and receiver Curtis Samuel (pectoral muscle) returned to practice as limited participants after missing the 31-10 win against the Seahawks. Fullback Reggie Gilliam (hip) also was limited and offensive lineman Alec Anderson was not present for personal reasons.
Pass rusher Von Miller also returned to practice following his four-game suspension for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy.
Linebacker Matt Milano is "moving in the right direction" to return later this season, McDermott said. Milano has been on injured reserve since tearing his biceps tendon during training camp. McDermott said the All-Pro performer's leadership presence has been noticed during his rehabilitation.
