Watch live: Trump holds dueling rally as Harris campaigns in North Carolina
Former President Trump is campaigning in battleground North Carolina Wednesday — about an hour away from Vice President Harris.
From inflation to rising costs, Trump is expected to target his Democratic rival in his closing arguments to Tar Heel State voters, according to his campaign. His visit to the state comes a day after Harris began her closing pitch to voters during a rally on the Ellipse on the National Mall in Washington, D.C.
The party nominees are making their final stops across the critical swing states this week, as early voting winds down and Election Day draws near. The Hill/Decision Desk HQ's polling average in North Carolina shows Trump with a slight edge over Harris — 48.9 percent to 47.5 percent — with just six days to go.
Trump's comments from Rocky Mount, N.C., are scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. EDT.
