It was shaping up to be a Dodgers sweep until the Yankees came through 11-4 in Game 4. The New York-based team, vying for their 28th World Series title, struggled through the first three games. However, they found success in the third and eighth innings on Tuesday night, ultimately pulling ahead by seven runs and forcing a Game 5.
Below, we've outlined everything you need to know about getting tickets to the World Series. In addition to guaranteed Game 5 tickets, ticket listings for Games 6 and 7 are also on sale, although these are only contingent games and won't take place if the Yankees lose Game 5. Should the Yankees keep winning, and the series extends past Game 5, Games 6 and 7 will be held at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.
How to buy World Series Game tickets
Original Game 5 tickets for the 2024 World Series were sold on Ticketmaster and have since sold out, with the exception of standing-room-only Pinstripe Pass tickets that go for $766. Fortunately, there are listings for various seats on resale sites including StubHub and Vivid Seats.
How much are World Series tickets?
At the time of writing, the cheapest available StubHub listings start at $526. Similarly, the cheapest available Vivid Seats listings start at $498. Available listings range from the aforementioned standing-room-only/Pinstripe Pass tickets to seats near home plate. The prices increase the closer you get to the field.
While Games 6 and 7 are contingent, tickets are also available through StubHub and Vivid Seats. At the time of writing, the cheapest listings for Game 6 (November 1 in Los Angeles) start at $1,416 on StubHub and $1,425 on Vivid Seats. The cheapest listings for Game 7 (November 2 in Los Angeles) start at $1,385 on StubHub and $1,324 on Vivid Seats.
If you purchase tickets to Games 6 or 7 and they don't end up happening because the Yankees lose Game 5, Vivid Seats' World Series page notes that it will refund your money in full. StubHub has a similar policy through its FanProtect Guarantee, which offers a credit or cash refund. That being said, you should always be careful to read the terms of service of any ticket broker before you click "buy" to make sure the policies work for you.
Note: Certain services and regions prohibit the resale of tickets. Business Insider does not endorse or condone the illegal reselling of tickets, and entry into an event is at the venue's discretion.
