Remembrance Day
This Saturday we face Gosport Borough at The BlackGold Stadium with a 3pm kick off.
Due to this being the closest home game before Remembrance Day, we will be using the game as an opportunity for us to commemorate those who sadly lost their lives serving their country in the armed forces, and for us to remember the service and sacrifice of all those that have defended our freedoms and protected our way of life.
We will have the Bugle Association of the Light Division of Rifles who are able to provide a bugler to play the Last Post. Our Chairman Chris Reeves, Captain Jamie Whisken and representatives from a local Veterans Association and the Armed Forces, as well as a representative from Gosport Borough will be laying a wreath before kick off.
In a way of respect to those who have given up their lives for our freedoms, we would like to invite any current serving personnel, and veterans from the Poole Area to attend the game.
We ask any veterans or serving personal please attend in uniform where possible, with any medals and regalia applicable, as we plan to incorporate you in a guard of Honour for the laying of wreaths and the Teams Entrance to the game.
The game kicks off at 3pm, and our act of remembrance will begin at approximately 2.45pm.
Please spread the word around so we are able to fully pay our respects.
See you on Saturday!
