Feed the Need highlights busy weekend at SOEC
PENTICTON, B.C. – The Penticton Vees host a pair of Alberta teams at the SOEC this weekend, as the open the month of November with home games against Blackfalds and Brooks, on Friday and Saturday.

Wednesday, Oct. 30th, Halloween Skate with the Vees
- Where: McLaren Arena, 1350 King Street.
- When: Wednesday, October 30, 7:15- 8:30 pm.
- RECreation Penticton and the Vees are hosting a Halloween Skate at McLaren Arena on Wednesday night.
- The skate features Halloween themed games, stick n’ puck, skating, and more
- Stick n’ puck participants must wear gloves and CSA-approved helmet. Those under 18 must also have a full cage on their helmet.
- You’re invited to wear an appropriate costume. It must be suitable for skating safely.
Friday, Nov. 1st vs. Blackfalds Bulldogs
- Game Sponsor: Market Place IGA.
- Doors: 6:00 pm.
- Puck drop: 7:00 pm.
- Market Place IGA, Bounce Radio, and the Penticton Vees are teaming up to “Feed the Need” this Friday night.
- Fans who attend the game are asked to bring a non-perishable food item and cash to donate to the Penticton Salvation Army and Summerland food banks.
- For every 10 pounds of food you donate, you will receive a ballot to enter a draw for a $1,000 gift card from Market Place IGA.
- Also, Market Place IGA will be hosting a hotdog BBQ, by donation, out front of the SOEC from 4:00 -7:00 pm.
- Help us “Feed the Need” in the South Okanagan on Friday night.
- Friday night also features a complementary local beer tasting at the top of section 114, hosted by Cannery Brewing, Highway 97 Brewing, Neighbourhood Brewing, and Slackwater Brewing. Must be legal drinking age.
Saturday, Nov. 2nd vs. Brooks Bandits
- Doors: 5:00 pm
- Puck drop: 6:00 pm
- The Vees host the Brooks Bandits, as two of the top junior programs in Western Canada face-off at the SOEC.
- Saturday’s game is a showdown of first versus second in the Interior Conference
- This is the second of six meetings between the two teams, as the Vees are looking to avenge a 4-1 loss to Brooks back on September 28th.
