Yankees fan interferes with Mookie Betts in wild World Series Game 4 moment
Mookie Betts tried to make a play on a foul ball in Game 4 of the World Series but some Yankees fans had other ideas
Game 4 of the World Series is off to a rather bizarre start.
Not the top of the first inning between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the New York Yankees. That began in basically the same way as Game 3 did on Monday night, with a two-run home run from Dodgers slugger Freddie Freeman in the top of the first to stake the Dodgers to an early 2-0 lead:
NO WAY!!!

The bottom of the first, however, is where things went off the rails.
Yankees leadoff hitter Gleyber Torres lofted a fly ball down the right-field line, that Los Angeles right fielder Mookie Betts was tracking toward the stands. Betts leaped into the front row of the bleachers to make a play on the fly ball, only to have a pair of Yankees fans rip the ball out of the outfielder’s glove:
"Well, A for effort."

Fan interference was called on this play where a Yankee fan tried to take the ball out of Mookie Betts' glove after an out. pic.twitter.com/iZ6taImncd
Torres was ruled out for fan interference. While those fans might have earned an “A for effort,” as noted on the FOX Sports broadcast, odds are they will be watching the rest of Game 4, as well as any potential Game 5, from outside Yankee Stadium.
