The casting call has gone out for a star to play Lara Croft in the upcoming Tomb Raider series at Prime Video, and it looks like Sophie Turner and Lucy Boynton are frontrunners!
In January 2023, it was announced that Phoebe Waller-Bridge was working with Amazon to develop a new show based on the popular video game franchise, which centers on Lara.
The role was famously played by Angelina Jolie in 2001′s blockbuster Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and the 2003 sequel. With its storied history, it’s an iconic and in-demand role.

According to reporting by Deadline, both Sophie and Lucy are expected to meet with casting agents for the show. However, Emma Corrin and Mackenzie Davis, two fan-favorite choices, are reportedly not going to test.
