D’Angelo Russell listed as questionable, Austin Reaves probable vs. Cavs
The Lakers injury report is constantly growing early in the season with D’Angelo Russell and Austin Reaves the latest additions ahead of the team’s game against the Cavs.
What would a Lakers season be without some injuries?
Just four games into the season, the Lakers already have a lengthy injury report. Heading into Wednesday’s game in Cleveland, nine players appeared on the team’s injury report.
Highlight that was the pair of D’Angelo Russell and Austin Reaves. The former is listed as questionable with lower back soreness while the latter is probable with a thigh contusion.

Neither player had appeared on the injury report prior to Tuesday. And neither seemed hampered by it during the game against the Suns. The rest of the injury report remains the same from Monday’s game.
While Christian Koloko was cleared for a return to the court on Tuesday, he has not practiced with the team all season. Realistically, he is some way away from making his official in-game return.
There were also some questions about LeBron James after the last game. He had one of the worst games of his Lakers tenure against the Suns, finishing with 11 points on 3-14 shooting from the field in 36 minutes.
After the game, LeBron confirmed that he was battling illness and, for what it’s worth, he sounded like someone who was sick. It could be a coincidence, but Jalen Hood-Schifino also was battling an illness recently as well.
The Lakers will need all hands on deck against the Cavs on Wednesday. Cleveland is one of only three unbeaten teams remaining in the NBA. It also would be an early failure of the challenge issued by Anthony Davis to not lose consecutive games.
So, here’s to the Lakers not having another injury crisis early this season!
