Catskill restaurant closing its doors after 9 years
CATSKILL, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- New York Restaurant, located at 353 Main Street in Catskill, is closing its doors. Owner Natasha Witka made the announcement on the restaurant's Facebook page on October 28.
"We would like to share with you the incredibly difficult decision we have made; after 9 wonderful years of service we’ll be closing our doors," said Witka in the post. "We have such deep gratitude to our incredible team, and for your loyal patronage. The friendships we have made, and the time that we shared will stay with us forever."
Witka revived the restaurant, which was originally founded in the early 1900s, in 2015. New York Restaurant serves traditional Polish cuisine such as pierogies, chicken and pork schnitzel, kielbasa, and golamki, as well as burgers, salads, wings, and flatbreads.
The restaurant's last day will be November 9. Witka did not immediately return NEWS10's request for comment.
"Thank you to all who have been a part. There are no words to express how grateful we are for the past nine years and thankful for the lifelong friendships. Stay tuned for what’s next – we know you’re going to love it," read the post.
