Severe storms possible for Wednesday afternoon and early evening
What We’re Tracking
- Continued windy weather
- Severe storms Wednesday
- Rain chances return by Saturday
Overnight temperatures will only fall back into the upper 60s tonight with a continued south wind at 15-25mph and a few passing clouds. The wind will continue into the day on Wednesday as a cold front approaches from the west. Highs should reach the middle to upper 70s.
The front should arrive late in the day on Wednesday, bringing in our next chance for some rain. We'll see a few showers in the morning ahead of the front, but by the afternoon a line of strong to severe storms will push from west to east. They'll be the strongest in our eastern counties. All modes of severe weather are possible.
The front will cool us down in time for Halloween activities! Temperatures will be in the lower 60s to close out October and enter November. Two back-to-back systems give us rain chances Saturday through Tuesday of next week as we enter a very wet weather pattern.
