Charge acquire Chandler Hutchison, finalize training camp roster
The Charge will begin their season at the start of November.
The Cleveland Charge, G League affiliate of the Cleveland Cavaliers, have been active this offseason. The recent G League Draft was no different.
The Charge traded for the rights to Chandler Hutchison, the fifth overall pick in the G League Draft, in exchange for the rights to third-overall pick Sean East II. The Charge also received a 2025 NBA G League International Draft pick in the multi-team deal.
Hutchison, a 6’6” forward from Boise St., was the 22nd pick in the 2018 NBA Draft. He has spent parts of four seasons in the NBA with the Chicago Bulls, Washington Wizards, and the Phoenix Suns. He’s appeared in 103 games and averaged 5.4 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 0.8 assists per game.
Hutchison was last with the Sioux Falls Sky Force in 2022 but announced his retirement from the basketball in November of that year. The 28-year-old announced last week that he was coming out of retirement and entering the G League Draft.
