Sooners Lead Ole Miss at Halftime
Oklahoma's football team leads #18 Mississippi 14-10 at halftime at Vaught Hemingway Stadium in Oxford, Mississippi on Saturday.
Ole Miss got the ball first and marched 75 yards in six plays to a touchdown.
Jaxson Dart passed to DaeQuan Wright for a gain of 35 yards, and Henry Parrish finished the drive with a nine-yard touchdown run to put the Rebels up 7-0 with 12:36 to play in the first quarter.
Oklahoma's first possession moved to the Rebels' 2-yard line, with Jackson Arnold passing to Bauer Sharp for 20 yards the biggest play of the drive.
On 4th and 1 from the Ole Miss 2, Arnold threw incomplete in the end zone and the Rebels took over on downs.
The Sooners forced Ole Miss to punt after three downs and got the ball on their own 40-yard line.
OU marched 60 yards in eight plays to tie it.
Ole Miss committed two personal fouls, giving OU 30 yards on a horse collar tackle and facemask penalty.
OU finished the drive with an 11-yard touchdown pass from Arnold to Sharp to tie the game at 7-7 with 2:18 to play in the first quarter.
The two teams combined for three straight possessions ending in punts, then Ole Miss moved the ball into OU territory.
The Rebels had to settle for a 35-yard field goal by Caden Davis to regain the lead 10-7 with 7:29 to play in the second quarter.

Taylor Tatum gained 14 yards on a run but fumbled and Chris Paul recovered for Ole Miss.
Paul then had the ball knocked out by J.J. Hester, who recovered for the Sooners at their own 48-yard line.
On the next play, OU gave it right back, as Jared Ivey sacked Arnold, caused a fumble and recovered for the Rebels at the OU 37-yard line.
On third and two from the OU 29, it appeared OU had stopped J.J. Pegues for loss, but Danny Stutsman was called for a facemask penalty and Ole Miss got the first down.
On fourth and one from the OU 5, Ole Miss went for it, but Ethan Downs strung out an end-around play and Kobie McKinzie and Stutsman finished off the tackle of Antwane Wells for a loss of three yards and the Sooners took over on downs.
Oklahoma then marched 92 yards in 13 plays to take the lead.
Arnold avoided a sack on 3rd and goal from the Ole Miss 9, and rolled out right, passing to Jacob Jordan in the front right corner of the end zone for his first career touchdown catch, putting the Sooners up 14-10 with six seconds left in the first half.
This is the second meeting between the two teams, with the first coming in the 1999 Independence Bowl, won by Ole Miss.
It's OU's first game in the state of Mississippi.
