Harry Redknapp predicts Crystal Palace vs Spurs score in four-goal thriller
Harry Redknapp predicts the result of Tottenham’s clash against Crystal Palace and makes an admission about watching Ange Postecoglou’s side this season.
Tottenham’s poor away record
Even though Tottenham’s performances away from home this season have generally been good, they do not have the points to show for it in the Premier League table.
So far, the Lilywhites have drawn one, lost two and won just one of their four away games, and they will be keen to improve their record on the road.
They have a great opportunity to do so this Sunday as they travel to Selhurst Park to take on a Palace side who are reeling in 18th place and still looking for their first win of the season.
Harry Redknapp predicts result
Redknapp confessed that while he does not know what to expect from this Tottenham side, he loves watching them when they are at their best. The former Spurs manager backed the North London club to emerge with a comfortable win against Palace.
He told BetVictor: “Things aren’t right at Crystal Palace. They haven’t been terrible this season, but they keep losing games by the odd goal and they clearly aren’t scoring enough. I do think Oliver Glasner can turn this around, but they need a decent result soon.
“I thought Spurs were terrific in that second half against West Ham, they could have scored six. I never know quite what to expect from this Spurs team but when they click, they’re a joy to watch.”
Prediction: Crystal Palace 1-3 Tottenham.
When asked to pick out a player to watch out for, Redknapp said: “Dejan Kulusevski has been as good as anyone in the league in the last few weeks, he’s been brilliant since he moved more central. Fair play to him and Ange Postecoglou for making that positional tweak.”
Selection dilemma for Ange Postecoglou?
Postecoglou faces a couple of tricky selection calls on Sunday, the biggest of which is his midfield combination. It will be interesting to see if he continues to start both Dejan Kulusevski and James Maddison or opts to bring in Pape Sarr for the Englishman.
The fact that Maddison started against Alkmaar is perhaps evidence that Postecoglou is leaning towards a midfield of Bissouma, Sarr and Kulusevski on Sunday.
The Tottenham boss would also have a decision to make on who to start on the left in case Heung-min Son is not fit. It will be interesting to see if he is brave enough to throw Mikey Moore into the side or decides to go with the more experienced Wilson Odobert.
