Kerry Katona asks fans to ‘pray for her mum’ after she’s rushed to hospital in frightening health scare
KERRY Katona has asked fans to ‘pray for her mum’ after she was rushed to hospital in a frightening health scare.
The 44-year-old took to Instagram to share the worrying ordeal with fans.
The star explained that her mum Sue is currently in hospital because of some clots that they have found on her lungs.
Kerry started off the video by saying: “Excuse the state of me.
“I haven’t been to bed since 3am, not this morning, the day before.
“I’ve taken my mum to hospital. I’ve had no sleep – for those who are aware, thank you all so very much for the messages.”
The former Atomic Kitten star continued: “The hospital found clots on my mum’s lungs. She’s not in a good way.
“It’s been a very rough over 24 hours and I’m absolutely exhausted.
“I just want to say that anybody who keeps texting me about work I do apologise, I’m having to put all that on the back foot at the moment.
“I need some sleep to get back to the hospital to be there for my mum.
“But thank you everybody.
“I’m so sorry I look like sh**e. I’ve come back to my mum’s flat, because it’s closer to the hospital, so I can get there.
“I need to get a good nights sleep.
“Big love to you mum. You really scared me. I could throttle you.
“But I got her to the hospital and that’s the main thing. And I stayed with her.
“It was absolutely exhausting, I need to get some sleep.
“My mum sends her love to everybody, I asked everybody to say a prayer to keep her strong and keep her fighting. “
Kerry captioned the video: “Thank you all for your texts and messages sorry if I’ve not replied but I really need to get some sleep so I can be at my best for my mum .
“Also the biggest shout out to all the staff nurses and doctors at the hospital you guys are truly amazing and work your asses off so much! .”
Friends and fans rushed to the comments section to share their well wishes.
One said: “Sending love to you and your Mam .”
Another added: “Much respect we all love you sending kind regards.”
“Wishing your mum a speedy recovery Kerry,” a third chimed in.
Kerry is returning to favour after her mum looked after her earlier this year.
The Whole Again singer had a piece of rib removed to rebuild her nose back in May after being told it was collapsing thanks to years of drug abuse.
The mum-of-five decided to stay with Sue because her fiance Ryan Mahoney was busy doing something else.
Writing in her column for new! magazine, she said: “I want to say a massive thank you to my mum, who has been my rock during the last couple of weeks.
“I’ve been staying at hers and she’s really looked after me.
“If I’m honest, I’ve felt more lonely than ever during my recovery. Ryan was away getting a tattoo in London when I went into hospital and I haven’t seen him since my surgery over a week ago.
“That upset me, because it made me feel unsupported and I could have done with the emotional support.
“I’m always the ‘strong mum’ in our house and this week I really wanted to be looked after and have him here, but I had my mum instead.”
