A WOMAN has shared her top trick to apply concealer at the age of 50 to brighten the under eye and soften the look of wrinkles.
Kim, who is 55, took to social media to show off her concealer hack which was specific for women over 50.
The beauty fan regularly shares her make-up tips online to help those with more mature skin find what works for them.
In the clip, she revealed how the concealer made eyes pop – and why you need to stop using it in shades lighter than your skin tone.
She first showed how she looked without any concealer on, and while she looked gorgeous, you could see she had dark circles and fine lines around the eyes
So she decided to cover them up with some concealer but instead of applying it to the entire area she only focused on the inner corner of her eyes.
Kim explained: “For mature women, the placement of concealer directly under the eye is crucial for achieving a youthful and radiant appearance.
“Instead of applying it directly in the hollow of the under-eye area, it’s more effective to highlight the area in the corner of the eye and slightly lower, which can help to lift and brighten the face.”
She also revealed that using lighter concealers to create brightness can actually make you look worse.
“Using a concealer that is only one or two shades lighter than your normal foundation shade ensures a natural look, avoiding the stark contrast that can emphasise fine lines and wrinkles,” she explained.
Instead, she suggeszted opting for a colour correct rather than a concealer.
She continued: “This technique not only conceals dark circles but also reflects light in a way that rejuvenates the overall complexion, creating a more vibrant and fresh look.
“By focusing on strategic placement, mature women can enhance their beauty while maintaining a soft and subtle finish.”
The clip posted to her TikTok account @kimlightupyourface has since gone viral with over 726k views and 5,800 likes.
