Emmerdale fans work out steamy affair storyline after spotting clue about Ruby Fox-Miligan
EMMERDALE fans have begun to speculate that Ruby Fox-Milligan could be heading for a steamy affair storyline.
The Dales resident, played by actress Beth Cordingly, has seen her marriage to Caleb Miligan left at breaking point in recent days.
Ruby was left aghast to discover that Caleb had secretly visited her dying mother behind her back and stopped her from getting the chance to say goodbye.
Moreover, she was later left seething with him as it was revealed he had secretly taken £100,000 from Helen’s inheritance without telling a single soul.
He attempted to cover it up by not letting on that he knew anything to Ruby.
However, upon investigations into the will, she was shocked to hear from the solicitor that she had spoken to Caleb about the missing £100k.
When Ruby confronted him about it, he played dumb, suggesting that “a few grand” had disappeared according to the solicitor completely unaware that Ruby had already discovered the exact amount.
With the union seemingly in tatters, fans of the ITV soap opera are already pleading for Ruby to move on and they have a very familiar face in mind.
Ahead of his Emmerdale comeback, fans think that hunky Ross Barton could be the perfect match for Ruby.
Speculating on X, one fan suggested: “Caleb is so full of s**t, I hope queen Ruby has an affair with Ross when he comes back.”
Ross’s return to the show is imminent with actor Mike Parr being seen on-set for the first time since his exit last month.
The character has been away for six years, and in true Emmerdale fashion, his return is expected to be ‘explosive’.
In 2018, Ross left the village with Rebecca and baby Seb for a fresh start in Liverpool after a five-year stint. But now he is back – and expect fireworks.
Speaking about his return to the Dales, Mike said: “I’m over the moon to be returning to Emmerdale.
“Ross is a character I’m extremely fond of and I’m excited to explore what he’s been up to over the past five years.
After seeing the scripts, I can’t wait for the audience to see what’s in store. One thing I can say is Ross’s return will no doubt create fireworks.”
