APD: Woman not in custody after allegedly hitting 4 pedestrians and food truck
AUSTIN (KXAN) -- A woman who allegedly struck four pedestrians and then a food truck in southeast Austin was not in custody, Austin Police Department Officer Austin Zarling said during a joint media briefing on Tuesday. She is being charged with failure to stop and render aid and aggravated assault.
The call first came in to APD around 4:30 p.m. on Elmont Drive and South Pleasant Valley Road for a woman who reported her phone was stolen.
