'British are coming!' Trump demands probe into 'illegal foreign national contributions'
Donald Trump's campaign is demanding an immediate investigation into reports that some 100 staffers linked to Britain’s Labour Party plan to hit the campaign trail to stump for Vice President Kamala Harris in swing states across the country.
In a legal complaint filed with the Federal Election Commission, Trump campaign deputy general counsel Gary Lawkowski wrote that they collected enough evidence to support the finding that “the British Labour Party made, and the Harris campaign accepted, illegal foreign national contributions.”
He added in the letter dated Monday that it was imperative the agency “investigate this matter immediately.”
According to a report in Politico, Labour Party officials insist that the activists planning to travel across the Atlantic Ocean in support of Harris “are paying for their own travel and crashing on the floors of fellow Democrat activists, therefore keeping within the FEC spending rules for overseas volunteers.”

But, the publication adds, an investigation could verify the inner workers of the plan.
The Trump campaign seized the opportunity to stir up supporters, declaring in a news release: “The British Are Coming! Trump-Vance Campaign Fights Kamala’s Foreign Election Interference Scheme.”
Trump-Vance campaign co-manager Susie Wiles said in the release that the Democratic ticket “is seeking foreign influence to boost its radical message – because they know they can’t win the American people.”
She added, without further elaboration, that “the Harris campaign’s acceptance and use of this illegal foreign assistance is just another feeble attempt in a long line of anti-American election interference.”
