Weekend Watch: F1 Racing, zoo thrills and chills, and dogs in drag!
AUSTIN (KXAN) - There is plenty to do this weekend no matter what your interests are. From racing at the Circuit of the Americas, to the zoo bringing the jump scares and dogs ready to join the Pink Pony Club.
Formula 1 Pirelli U.S. Grand Prix
Racing is back at COTA this weekend and is bringing along performances including Sting and Eminem.
Events kick off early Friday morning and last through the weekend culminating in the Grand Prix on Sunday at 2 p.m. In between there will be plenty of bands, DJs, and local artists you won't want to miss. Tickets for the event are still available on their website.
Boo at the Zoo
Austin Zoo has transformed its grounds a spook-tastic good time. From the Haunted Train Ride, Haunted Mansion, Animal Habits and Shows, Costume Fun and so much more.
The family-friendly event will take place every Friday and Saturday night in October from 5:45 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. For more information visit their website.
Paws on Chicon 5th Annual Doggy Drag Show
Dogs on the catwalk mixed with fashion? What's not to love! This is all for charity as pups throw on their best drag outfits and turn into the divas they truly are.
]According to Paws on Chicon, all of the funds are going to two organizations; Austin Out Youth and Love a Bull Austin. On top of the fashion show there will be a DJ mixing beats, plenty of food, pet-friendly vendors, and much more including giveaways.
It's a free ticket event and will take place Saturday October 19th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Roots Veterinary care.
