'Rick & Morty: The Anime' Season 2? TV Show Status Revealed
Rick and Morty: The Anime is coming to an end on Thursday, October 17, and fans are already eager to know if it’s coming back.
The Adult Swim show is airing its Season 1 finale this week.
Here’s an episode synopsis: “Though Morty might finally be at peace, Space Morty might be in real trouble.”
Ahead of the season finale, the show’s writer and director, as well as executive producer, spoke out about the fate of the series to ComicBook.

Writer and director Takashi Sano revealed he has plenty of more ideas to explore for the future if the series get picked up for a second season.
Executive producer Joseph Chou added: “Yeah, he has a lot of things that he actually wants to do, if he’s given the opportunity to do another one. So [the] hard part is not what to make, it’s like, what to do. Like, what can I do? It’s really hard part is what do I choose in terms of the things that I wanna do? Because it’s just the kind of freedom that’s given to do the show. It’s just incredible. So yeah, he would love that opportunity. Hopefully, fans will love it and we’ll get the call to do another one.”
