Argos shoppers rush to buy ‘cosy’ and ‘energy-efficient’ winter essential scanning for £90 instead of £130
THE weather’s getting colder and most people are thinking about switching their heating on.
Luckily, Argos has slashed the cost of a super-cosy item that will reduce your energy bills.

Being home, warm and feeling snuggly is a highpoint of this cold season – and this faux-fur blanket is perfect for winter evenings.
I first tested it along with several others in my best heated throws round-up. It remains my go-to blanket at this time of year.
I hate feeling cold and winter is not my favourite season, so I wouldn’t want to brave the chilly months without mine.
This lovely throw has six heat settings and you can adjust the run time for 1, 3 or 9 hours.
I initially put the throw on maximum setting, but quickly have to turn it down to level 2 or 3 because it heats up so quickly.
It’s a generous size, and is ideal for snuggling under for an evening of TV-watching.
Best of all, I don’t need to switch on the central heating as I’m warm enough without it.
At current average electricity prices of 24.5p/kW the Dreamland heated throw costs 3.5p per hour to run.
With cost of living prices continuing to rise and everyone’s finances extra-stretched in the run-up to Christmas, that’s a win as far as I’m concerned.
It looks as good as it feels and when I’m not cocooned under it, the throw sits quite happily along the back of my sofa, the neutral colours blending in with the rest of the décor.
This isn’t the cheapest heated throw around, but I suggest you look on it as a smarty (and snuggly) investment.
I basically treat mine as an extension of my comfy clothes, soft socks, cuddly Oodie and fleecy PJs.
I used mine most evenings last winter, this year I’m already doing the same and hopefully it will see me through many more.
