I’m sick of doing my lazy family’s laundry so I go to the launderette – everyone’s saying the same thing about our cat

She described how she wanted to “escape the daily washing nightmare.”
The mum-of-two detailed her busy schedule, sharing how she found it difficult to balance her career with her never-ending to-do list of housework.
“I work from home around 70 hours per week,” the woman revealed.
“I am also responsible for all the cleaning, cooking, and washing for the family.”
She explained how the laundry in her house was constantly piling up no matter how quick she moved.
“The problem with the washing is its sheer relentlessness,” she wrote.
Another issue the busy woman had is with her family’s “lazy” behaviour.
“None of these lazy f**kers put their clean washing away,” the poster explained.
And it isn’t just the human members of her family who were causing issues.
“It invariably ends up back in the dirty washing hampers and, if a pile of clean clothes is left unattended, our cat will s**t on it so it will need re-washing,” she said.
“I am so exhausted and trying to take some of the daily grind off me.”
She revealed how a new launderette in her area “has captured my imagination.”
The Mumsnet user described the professional laundry service as a “possible sanctuary.”
“It is brand new and shiny with loads of machines and places to sit,” she wrote.
How much does it cost to use a launderette?
Most launderette’s determine their pricing systems by weight. The average price is £1.30 per pound.
Smaller wash loads average £5.50 per load while the larger ones cost around £11.
These costs usually include the price of detergent and fabric softener.
“I am thinking I could drive down on a Saturday morning, chuck all the clothes in the machines, get myself a coffee and a croissant, and sit there for a couple of hours in peace, reading a book.”
Mumsnet users shared their thoughts on the situation in the comments section.
“It will be costly but might be worth it for the peace, I’d be more concerned about the cat s**tting on clothes,” pointed out one reader.
“No cats like to s**t randomly in a house. There’s a problem there that needs sorting,” said another person.
“Why are you tolerating a cat that s**ts on clothes? I am an animal lover but that would be an absolute no. It also sounds to me like you family needs retraining,” commented a third Mumsnet user.
“Please do something about the cat,” wrote another commenter.
“It won’t solve the problem of your lazy ass family not putting things away or of your cat s**tting on things,” pointed out one person.
