Winter's Dream not returning to Lake George this winter
LAKE GEORGE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Winter's Dream, a light and projection show produced by Moment Factory, is not returning to Fort William Henry Hotel in Lake George this winter. Instead, the attraction is set to return in November 2025.
Last winter was Winter's Dream first year in Lake George. In June, Sam Luciano, the general manager of Fort William Henry, told NEWS10 that Winter's Dream was planning on returning this winter.
"We will use the extra time to make the return of Winter’s Dream all that it should be," said Luciano. "While the Coalition does this work, we will be returning the $400,000 the Board recently appropriated for Winter’s Dream to the county occupancy tax fund balance where it belongs, and where it can be used to support other important tourism initiatives."
"Last season marked a magical beginning for Winter’s Dream, receiving a great reception from visitors," said Moment Factory. "We are committed to the success of this experience and support the Winter Coalition’s decision to schedule the next edition for November 2025."
Winter Realms, an event featuring ice skating, sculptures, and Santa Claus in Charles R. Wood Park, also announced in June that it would not be returning to Lake George this winter. Ice Castles, which produced the event, told NEWS10 that warmer temperatures was a factor for not returning.
Ice Castles, which came to Lake George for the 2021-22 and 2022-23 season, was replaced last year by Winter Realms. Without Ice Castles, Winter Realms, and Winter's Dream, Lake George's main attraction this winter is set to be the Winter Carnival, which takes place on weekends in February.
