MAFS UK feud revealed as groom launches shock attack at co-star and brands her a ‘beg’ and ’embarrassment to her family’
A NEW Married At First Sight feud has been revealed after one of the groom launched a shock attack at one of his co-stars.
Alexander Henry – who tied the knot with Holly Ditchfield on this year’s series of the E4 show – certainly didn’t hold back in a recent Instagram post.
Alex took to his page to share his thoughts on what has been playing out on our screens.
The air specialist didn’t name anyone in the post – but this one in particular could be aimed at Polly Sellman.
Alex said: “Imagine going on national TV and practically begging a man to sleep with you for weeks.
“Embarrassment to yourself and your family.
“Have some class and self worth and just leave.”
Polly and Adam Nightingale are another couple who were put together by the experts on this year’s series.
The couple did have sex on their wedding night – despite Adam admitting to her best mate that she wasn’t his type.
But for weeks that was the only physical affection that they gave towards each other.
Adam kept his distance from his wife, and didn’t do anything sexual with her because he didn’t want to lead her on.
During the last few commitment ceremonies, Polly has made it clear that the sexual side of their relationship is definitely missing from her side.
But this week they revealed that they have finally got intimate with each other – leaving Polly over the moon that they’ve taken the step.
During a chat with her pal Holly, Polly said: “After yesterday, one thing led to another… your girl got what she wanted.”
Adam also confirmed it to the rest of the gang, and said: “I took a very big step forward.
“I need stop being stubborn, forget the whole type thing, and you’ve kind of just go with the flow. And if it works, it works. If it don’t, it don’t.”
Mafs couples that have stood the test of time
Loved-up Tayah Victoria and Adam Aveling of series six fame had the first Mafs baby.
The pair couldn’t keep their hands off each other on the programme and quickly found their feet in the outside world, moving into Adam’s Doncaster home.
Just 18 months after meeting, the couple welcomed their daughter Beau.
Season five couple Michelle Walder and Owen Jenkins also managed to make their marriage work away from the cameras and had their first child in December.
Teacher Michelle, 29, has no regrets about taking part in the experiment. She told us: “I just feel very lucky and thankful that it has worked out – and excited for everything to come.”
Michelle and Owen were both sick of dating apps when they applied in 2019.
Owen recalled: “I had been out for some drinks with a friend after work.
“While he was out for a cigarette I was scrolling on Instagram waiting for him to come back in.
“The MAFS advert was the last thing I saw, and I joked, ‘Wouldn’t it be funny if I signed up?’
“A few beers later when I was back at home I sent in the application, and the rest is history.”
Another couple to make Mafs UK history is Zoe Clifton and Jenna Robinson.
Despite a slight rocky start, where they clashed over Jenna’s vegan lifestyle, the show’s first same sex pairing are still going strong.
They even have a successful podcast together called Life With a Pod.
Jenna shed light on being involved in the show earlier this year when she told us: “We’re not legally married, and I never felt like we were. I definitely feel the process makes you take the relationship a lot more seriously and having the help of the experts… if you can survive that process it sets a firm foundation for a long-lasting relationship.”
“It happened really naturally.
“It was great, and hopefully it just now continues, and it can only go further for him with the attraction,” added Polly.
“For me, because I know how I feel about him, and I want it to go that way. I hope that it does.”
The pair now appear to be going from strength to strength.
Alex continued in his post: “If the man was to do that, and the experts were making tasks that were trying to get you to be attracted to him and sleep with him. What would everybody say about said man? What would he be labelled as?
“But the woman doesn’t get labelled as anything. Lol.
“Society for you.
“The words desperate and beg on toast come to mind.”
During the first commitment ceremony after the first week, Adam was called out by the experts for his lack of affection towards Polly.
Quizzed about why he has been cold with her, Adam said he didn’t want to give her the wrong impression.
“If I’m affectionate with her and cuddling kissy with her, I don’t want to give her the wrong idea because I don’t want to hurt her,” Adam explained.
But expert Paul C Brunson didn’t understand his point.
He clapped back: “But you are married and you have already had sex.”
Adam said: “That felt natural at the time, you know what I mean?”
