UK rapper Yung Filly dropped by another top brand after rape and assault charges as he’s banned from leaving Australia

UK RAPPER Yung Filly has been dropped by another major brand after he was charged with rape and Assault.

Filly, whose real name is Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, has been banned from leaving Australia as cops investigate allegations he raped and physically abused a woman in her 20s last month.

The YouTube and music star, 29, has already been dropped by several brands and companies since he was detained including the Football Association (FA), Heinz and ASOS.

With clothing and shoe brand FootAsylum being the latest to cut ties with the Colombian born personality.

Filly was a regular host and face of the FootAsylum YouTube channel after making his first appearance all the way back in 2018.

He regularly went viral online for his comedic takes in shows such as Does the Shoe Fit?, Home Schooled and Truth Asylum.

The channel was a hub of content in recent years with Filly spearheading its success alongside his YouTube pals Chunkz, Darkest Man, Nella Rose and Harry Pinero.

It managed to gain over 2.8 million subscribers with Filly even appearing in the first ever video still active online.

But shortly after the serious allegations were made public a FootAsylum spokesperson announced “we are suspending our contract with Yung Filly with immediate effect”.

Cops investigating Yung Filly say they have an “extremely strong” case that includes CCTV footage of the social media star on the night of the alleged offences.

Detectives from Western Australia Police’s sexual assault squad charged Filly with four counts of sexual penetration without consent.

He is also accused of three counts of assault and one count of impeding a person’s normal breathing or circulation by applying pressure to their neck.

The YouTuber and rapper was arrested and taken into custody in Brisbane on Tuesday before being transferred to Perth a day later.

He was then hauled in front of a Perth court where the prosecution told the court the alleged victim’s body is marked “by a history of violent acts”.

The 29-year-old was bailed following his first court hearing after stumping up $100,000AUD (£51,000) for bail.

He is banned from leaving the state and must also report to Perth Police Station in Northbridge regularly.

Filly’s defence lawyer argued the victim was drunk at the time of the alleged ordeal on September 28, Channel 9 reported.

A glum Filly kept a low profile as he reported to Perth Police Station for the first time on Saturday.

He wore a dark baseball cap and a cream hooded jacket with black shorts and trainers as he jogged past reporters to enter the building.

He remained inside for just five minutes before leaving and once again refusing to speak to the journalists waiting outside.

He was seen again on Sunday in an all black outfit arriving at the same station.

Filly had performed a show at Perth’s Bar1 Nightclub the hours before meeting the woman making the allegations.

Prosecutor Depetro wanted Filly to remain behind bars as he accused the star’s fame of potentially playing a part in the assault.

He said: “This has already made headlines.

“Given nature of social media, nature of people jumping on bandwagons, given the nature of (the) power imbalance between the parties.”

Yung Filly is known for his comedic talents on YouTube where he shot to fame alongside fellow creators Beta Squad while also appearing in The Sidemen videos.

He then branched out to his own individual projects including podcasts, music and mainstream TV gigs.

He featured on Channel 4‘s The Great Celebrity Bake Off in 2022 and has previously fronted the BBC‘s Hot Property.

CUTTING TIES

Several other brands and event organisers followed FootAsylum in axing their partnerships as well as deleting pieces of content starring Filly.

Clothing brand ASOS pulled adverts and lines revolved around him as Heinz deleted various TikTok videos featuring the popular online celebrity.

A music event in Essex on October 25 was called off as well as a “freshers’ takeover” music night at Trilogy Nightclub in Colchester due to Filly being booked to perform at them.

The Chunkz and Filly Show – a popular podcast and talk show Filly hosts – has had its upcoming live shows axed with customers offered refunds.

The first live performance was due to take place on October 18 in east London.

But venue Troxy has now confirmed the show has been cancelled for good.

A Troxy spokeswoman told the BBC: “The event was removed from our website yesterday and all ticket holders have been informed – their tickets will be refunded automatically.”

Upload Productions – who produce the Chunkz and Filly Show online – also released a statement saying they are “pausing” any work with Filly.

Chunkz – whose real name is Amin Mohamed – is yet to comment on the charges against Filly.

It comes as the Football Association (FA) also pulled a new online cookery show featuring the British YouTube star amid the serious allegations.

Filly had filmed a new show with the FA and M&S due to be released in the coming weeks but since the allegations came to light they have decided to axe the episodes, Sky News revealed.

England aces Bukayo Saka, Ezri Konsa, and Jarrod Bowen were all set to feature in the video alongside Filly as part of a “Freestyle Cooking” series on the FA YouTube channel.

An announcement by the FA released on Wednesday said Filly was specially chosen for the series to “encourage young people up and down the country to experiment with cooking healthy alternatives”.

The FA confirmed to Sky that the videos have now been removed.
