I caught my fiancée in bed with my dad and now she’s pregnant, but we can’t work out who the father is
AFTER catching his fiancee cheating with his dad, one man couldn’t imagine how the situation could get any worse.
However, the betrayal was even more cruel when he discovered that his partner was pregnant.
In a Reddit post, the unnamed user explained how there had been warning signs about the inappropriate relationship between his fiancee and his dad, but he didn’t see them.
“Looking back, there was plenty of things I overlooked that I just wrote off, thinking my father was just trying to welcome my ex into our family,” he said.
He revealed his father would often call his ex, claiming to discuss upcoming family events.
“One time [my ex] was in the shower and her phone rang, I saw it was my dad so I answered, when he realised it was me, he sounded both upset and surprised that I picked up,” he said.
And the day he caught them in the act, was when he returned home from work one lunchtime to pick up important paperwork he had forgotten to take with him that morning.
“When I got home, I noticed a car that looked like my father’s in our parking lot but I didn’t think anything of it and just parked and went into our building,” he recalled.
“When I opened the door, I was met with a scene out off a movie where a man comes home early and catches his spouse cheating, such a cliche.”
He described the “trail of clothes” leading to the bedroom and the “sound of faint moans” that “echoed though” the flat.
“I stood at the door in utter shock, my brain was a mix of rage, sadness, and disgust,” he said.
“When I finally snapped to, I took out my phone to record, I picked up all the clothes that were on the floor, and threw them into the hall of the building.
After filming for “about a minute,” the Redditor “flipped on the lights”.
“They [dad and fiancee] both jumped at the sudden light and looked at me and to my utter shock it was my father in the bed with her,” he said.
The man explained how all his dad seemed to care about was being recorded, whilst naked.
“He noticed I was recording and started to panic trying to find anything to cover himself and telling me to stop recording,” he said.
“He found a towel and wrapped it around himself and started to walk toward me, I told him ‘If you don’t want to get hurt stop coming to me’, he either didn’t care or didn’t hear me and reached for my phone.
“I hit him square on the jaw, his head bounced off the door, and slumped to the ground,” the poster said.
His fiancee’s reaction was to rush to the father, and see if he was okay.
The upset man then told his father that he was “dead” to him before threatening to tell his mum about his dad’s affair.
After sitting in his car for a while, the Reddit user then returned to work to carry out his presentation, warning both his fiancee and his dad to be gone by the time he returned.
In an update, the man revealed his mum had shunned him after the affair was exposed.
But eight months after the day, the man sat down with his mum.
She explained she had left her husband, and was sorry for not believing her son, especially considering the video evidence.
The man recalled: “She said [my ex] is pregnant, apparently [she] showed up to the house and told my mum.”
The bigger issue was that the fiancee doesn’t know who the baby’s father is…
The updated post ended there, but the original poster added in the comments some extra context.
He said: “To add of course I’ll be getting a DNA test.
“There were also some comments asking if the claim is actually real.
“[My ex] came to my mother’s house around seven months pregnant, my mother is no rocket scientist, but I’m almost positive she can tell when someone’s seven months pregnant.
“Also, there’s not much of an update for my dad because I don’t know much, neither did my mum, so she had nothing to share.”

In close relationships, it’s normal to know each other’s passwords and use each other’s phones, if their phone habits change then they may be hiding something.
Aaron says: “If your partner starts changing their passwords, starts taking their phone everywhere with them, even around the house or they become defensive when you ask to use their phone it could be a sign of them not being faithful.”
“You should also look at how they place their phone down when not in use. If they face the phone with the screen facing down, then they could be hiding something.”
They start telling you less about their day
When partners cheat they can start to avoid you, this could be down to them feeling guilty or because it makes it easier for them to lie to you.
“If you feel like your partner has suddenly begun to avoid you and they don’t want to do things with you any more or they stop telling you about their day then this is another red flag.”
“Partners often avoid their spouses or tell them less about their day because cheating can be tough, remembering all of your lies is impossible and it’s an easy way to get caught out,” says Aaron.
Their libido changes
Your partner’s libido can change for a range of reasons so it may not be a sure sign of cheating but it can be a red flag according to Aaron.
Aaron says: “Cheaters often have less sex at home because they are cheating, but on occasions, they may also have more sex at home, this is because they feel guilty and use this increase in sex to hide their cheating. You may also find that your partner will start to introduce new things into your sex life that weren’t there before.”
They become negative towards you
Cheaters know that cheating is wrong and to them, it will feel good, this can cause tension and anxiety within themselves which they will need to justify.
“To get rid of the tension they feel inside they will try to convince themselves that you are the problem and they will become critical of you out of nowhere. Maybe you haven’t walked the dog that day, put the dishes away or read a book to your children before bedtime. A small problem like this can now feel like a big deal and if you experience this your partner could be cheating,” warns Aaron.
