Zoe Saldana Rules the Red Carpet in Black Suede Pumps at ‘Emilia Perez’ Screening in London
Zoe Saldana graced the red carpet at the Headline Gala screening of “Emilia Perez” during the 68th BFI London Film Festival held today in London. Fellow “Emilia Perez” actress Selena Gomez was also in attendance.
In a classic but sophisticated move, the “Avatar” star donned black pumps. The style seemingly featured textural suede uppers, along with sharp pointed toes and 2 to 3-inch stiletto heels that offered both height and dimension.
The inclusion of suede uppers made for a unique addition, one that separated the style from its more classic renditions. Black pumps have always had a place in celebrities’ wardrobes. The silhouette boasts longevity, worn and re-worn since its conception.
Stars like Kamala Harris, Jennifer Aniston, Ashley Graham, Serena Williams and Pamela Anderson have all worn black pumps in the past, sporting them on formal and casual occasions. Saldana’s pick can be likened to pumps from top brands like Gianvito Rossi, Jimmy Choo, Saint Laurent, Christian Louboutin and Aquazzura, among others.
Partnered with her pumps, Saldana was outfitted in a bright blue gown featuring a form-fitted bodice and a structural skirt that ballooned outwards, creating a whimsical shape.
A lover of taking risks with her wardrobe, Saldana’s fashion choices are often chic and sleek. On the red carpet, the “Star Trek” actress favors stiletto-heeled pumps and mules by Louboutin, Piferi and Jimmy Choo, among other luxury labels.
When off-duty, she can also be spotted in Maison Margiela loafers, Tamara Mellon boots and Saint Laurent sandals, in addition to numerous contemporary styles. Her casual ensembles also feature sporty sneakers by Superga and Adidas.
“Emilia Pérez” is an upcoming Spanish-language French musical crime comedy film written and directed by Jacques Audiard based on Audiard’s opera libretto of the same name. The film enlists the help of talents like Selena Gomez, Karla Sofía Gascón, Zoe Saldana and Édgar Ramírez, among others.
