Who is Georgie Thompson?
Georgie Thompson was born in Harlow, Essex on September 25, 1977.
She grew up with a keen interest in sports and media — passions which would later shape her choice of career path.
Georgie attended the University of Leeds, graduating from the academic institution in 1999 with a degree in broadcast journalism.
Broadcasting career
Georgie began her career at Sky Sports News in 2001, where she became a popular host for over a decade.
Her expertise and charismatic on-screen presence made her a familiar face for football fans tuning in for the latest updates on their favourite teams.
After leaving Sky Sorts News in 2011, Georgie went on to present several other Sky shows, including leading their Formula 1 coverage.
Georgie was also a regular panelist on Sky 1‘s A League of Their Own between 2010 and 2011.
Transition to American TV
Geogie’s career took an international turn when she relocated to the US to work on a Fox Sports show.
She was a panelist on the sport-themed talk show Crowd Goes Wild hosted by the late great Regis Philbin between 2013 and 2014.

Ben and Georgie tied the knot on December 20, 2014, in a beautiful ceremony at Hampton Court Palace.

Since tying the knot, the couple has welcomed two children into their family — a daughter named Bellatrix, born in 2016, and a son named Fox, born in 2021.
Today, Georgie and Ben reside on the Isle of Wight, though in October 2024 rumours began circling that they might sell their £3.5million home there due to work and family commitments.
