Pallas Theatre re-opens with special concert
The beloved old Nicosia theatre Pallas is finally ready to reopen its doors and welcome back artists and culture lovers. Following its temporary closure last February due to a number of technical issues, Pallas Theatre has been renewed and is ready for operation once again.
Its re-opening will be held in style, with a musical event on Thursday. To mark this new journey for Pallas Theatre and launch its new season, an educational concert by the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra will take place.
The theatre faced several issues last year which suspended its operation. The deputy ministry of culture commissioned private architects to carry out a building and electro-mechanical inspection and proceeded with the necessary maintenance and upgrading of the building.
Now, with all of the necessary approvals and measures in place, Pallas is ready to re-enter the field and serve the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra Foundation and other cultural and non-cultural organisations that wish to use it for their events.
The orchestra has already planned to hold several of its October concerts at Pallas Theatre, notably the Family Concerts 1 evening on Saturday and the Premiere 1 concert on October 16 with more dates in November and December.
