IIT-BHU and BHU innovate: Watermelon seeds lead to revolutionary milk urea detection device
Scientists at IIT-BHU and BHU have created an innovative biosensor using watermelon seeds to detect urea contamination in milk. The device, employing urease enzyme from watermelon seeds, offers high sensitivity and meets FSSAI and FDA standards. This breakthrough could revolutionize on-site testing in dairy, ensuring food safety. A patent has been filed for this technology.
