1. Jewish group mourns 1 year since Israel-Hamas War began
Monday marks one year since Hamas launched a cross-border attack on Israel — sparking the beginning of the Israel-Hamas War. A Jewish organization held a gathering Sunday to celebrate the Jewish New Year, but also reflect on the past year of war.
2. Police look into fatal Albany pedestrian auto accident
Albany Police are investigating a fatal pedestrian auto accident on Krumkill Road. Police said the driver stopped when the accident occurred Sunday morning and has cooperated with police.
3. Albany Police investigate Orange Street stabbing
Police are searching for a suspect in a stabbing on the 300 block of Orange Street on Sunday. Law enforcement said they responded to the stabbing at 2:55 a.m. and were unable to find a victim and suspect.
4. Hurricane Milton growing stronger as it approaches Florida: NHC
As forecasted, Milton has become a hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico, the National Hurricane Center has announced. Milton has sustained winds of 85 mph and is moving east at 7 mph, according to the NHC. As of 5 p.m. ET Sunday, Hurricane Milton is located nearly 805 miles west-southwest of Tampa.
5. 2024 Fright Fest at Six Flags Great Escape
Here at the Six Flags Great Escape Fright Fest 2024, things have frightened up. Several changes will be evident as a few of the haunted houses were upgraded and the new roller coaster Bob Cat, decked out for a frightful ride into the night.
