This year’s Miss Cosmo 2024 will be hosted by Binibining Pilipinas International 2016 and Miss International 2016 titleholder Kylie Verzosa, alongside the acclaimed and award-winning Vietnamese TV host Bui Duc Bao. They will co-host the Grand Finale and the Jury Session.
The Jury Session was held on Thursday, October 3, at the White Palace Vo Van Kiet in Binh Tan District, Ho Chi Minh City. The panel of judges assessed each candidate’s performances across multiple categories, including introduction, evening gown, and bikini.
Ahtisa Manalo, the Miss Cosmo 2024 representative for the Philippines, is steadily gaining traction in the beauty pageant. Having previously finished as 1st runner-up at Miss International 2018 and securing 2nd runner-up at Miss Universe Philippines 2024, Ahtisa was selected to represent the country in the inaugural edition of Miss Cosmo 2024.
Ahead of the competition’s introduction video releases, Ahtisa already made a mark by winning the “First Station” of the Miss Cosmo People’s Choice Award. This win gives her an early advantage, earning a special ‘Hope Star’ boost (x2 voting points) in the Final Stage: The Big Bang, a private photo shoot, a VIP party, 24-hour media team support, and the chance to take over Cosmo’s Instagram for 24 hours.
There are still two more rounds in the People’s Choice Award. The People’s Choice competition winner will automatically secure a spot in the Top 10 during the Grand Finale. — Zulaikha Palma/Rappler.com
